With a Spanish name, a Spanish chef, and a beachfront panorama not unlike the Mediterranean coast of Spain, Casa del Mar was a tapas menu short of the complete taste of España.

Keyword “was.”

Because every Wednesday night starting September 28th, Chef Gemma Gray will turn the scenic space of Terrazza into a true tapas bar experience à la Madrid, Granada, or Sevilla.

Open to hotel guests and tempted locals alike, this weekly feast gives you a delicious sample of Spain’s favorite delicacies—from Spanish Tortilla and Paella to Ibérico Croquetas and Gambas Al Ajilo to Empanadas and Jamón Ibérico. Pair them with a fine bottle of Tempranillo or Albariño and suddenly you’re transported thousands of miles to the heart of the Iberian Peninsula.

Which in our book—and Chef Gemma’s—is a pretty respectable use of your Wednesday night.

Prices per tapa vary—$3, $6, $9, or $12 each—while Spanish wines by the glass are available from $12 to $16, or a flight of three for $20.
