What began as an after-school dance program for private elementary schools in Los Angeles grew into so much more. Funky Divas and Dudes is a Performance Art Dance Camp that boasts a staff of professional dancers, singers and actors. They have choreographed professional dance sequences commercially, giving them the opportunity to cast their own students (your children!) in dance roles.
The children that are the Funky Divas and Dudes have performed at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards Party, starred in their own music videos and performed choreographed dances at numerous functions around this humble town.
Funky Divas and Dudes promotes a healthy lifestyle, teaches kids to have fun while learning discipline and helps children gain self-confidence in a positive and safe environment.
For 10 weeks beginning June 16th, Funky Divas and Dudes will hold their Performance Art Summer Camp at Shutters on the Beach. Children ages 4-10 are welcome, camp hours are 9am – 3pm. Daily camp activities range from dance classes, fairytale theatre plays, fashion shows, and the making of music videos! Space is very limited and reservations are required.
