It is known as the golden hour – the time of day when the sun makes its descent below the horizon, the light softens and the sky is filled with hazy pastels. There’s no better place to enjoy the dramatic performance of the twilight sky than at the beach, where the majestic light reflects off the ocean and creates an even larger stage for this nightly event. But what’s a show without some music? The Santa Monica Twilight Concert Series turns Mother Nature’s performance into a not-to-be-missed summer outing with a variety of free musical performances. Every Thursday night until September 6, select musicians from across the globe head to the Santa Monica Pier to share their music with the city. Summer doesn’t end until the music stops! So grab some chairs, pack a picnic, and gather your friends and family for an evening of free music and spectacular skies.
