If you are anything like us, your Mother’s Day plans center around brunch.
And at Shutters on the Beach and Casa del Mar, we like brunches that go beyond the ordinary – think handcrafted cocktails, delicious dishes, and homemade desserts.

Which leads us to this particular Mother’s Day, when Chefs Gemma Gray and Vittorio Lucariello will be hosting special brunches at Catch, Terrazza and 1 Pico, – all just steps from the shores of Santa Monica Beach.
At 1 Pico, in addition to our brunch, we will be offering a special Mother’s Day dinner. Indulge in delectable appetizers like Maine lobster soup and Alaskan oak smoked salmon, then choose your main course from among succulent seared Maine diver scallops, handmade tagliatelle with black truffle, and other delicacies.
Over at Catch and Terrazza, an equally tantalizing menu awaits. From the Dungeness crab crostini appetizer to main courses such as grilled organic filet mignon and lobster cake eggs Benedict, the moms in your life will be spoiled for choice.
Make sure to order dessert for Mom – we recommend the chocolate molten cake with cocoa nibs, pistachio crumble, and amarene cherry gelato.
Wrap up brunch or dinner with the mango crème brûlée and an equally delightful stroll along the beach.
