Be Beach Ready

To help steer you in the right direction, Hotel Casa del Mar’s Les Clefs d’Or Concierge Tim DeRodeoff has given us his favorite picks for stopping along the way!

Tim, along with our Beach Activity Center look forward to reserving a colorful new Linus Cesta 7 and a picnic lunch for your day trip. Enjoy your beachside adventure!

The Santa Monica Pier: Get close to the first solar powered Ferris Wheel in the world for that Instaworthy moment and feel like a kid again. With classic carnival games, a rollercoaster, carousel, and even trapeze lessons you will feel like you have been transported back in time.

Annenberg Beach House: Located at the end of the trail the Annenberg Beach House, are a range of recreational amenities, including a swimming pool, volleyball court, and a splash pad. This historic pool house has been transformed into a community gathering space. Adjacent to the ABH, enjoy a meal at Back on the Beach Café.

Muscle Beach (Venice): Muscle Beach is an iconic outdoor gym on the sand. It has a rich history and is known for its vibrant fitness community, where bodybuilders, athletes, and fitness enthusiasts come together to showcase their skills and engage in various workouts and strength training.

Fisherman’s Village (Marina Del Rey): Fisherman’s Village is a charming waterfront shopping and dining destination located in Marina del Rey, California. With its picturesque harbor views, and a range of boutiques, restaurants, and entertainment options, it offers a delightful atmosphere for a leisurely stroll or a bite. You can even rent jet skis, go parasailing, try paddle board yoga, or even charter a boat!

Downtown Manhattan Beach: Downtown Manhattan Beach is a vibrant area lined with trendy boutiques, restaurants, and cafés. Its lively atmosphere is the perfect blend of coastal charm and urban sophistication

The Pier at Redondo Beach: Located toward the southern tip of my favorite parts of the trail, The Redondo Beach Pier is a bustling hub with restaurants, shops, and a waterfront promenade. It’s an excellent spot to take a break and enjoy the ocean views before heading back north.

Rose Avenue (Venice): If you feel like venturing inland for a spell, Rose Avenue is a terrific choice with its eclectic mix of trendy boutiques, street cafés and art galleries. With its bohemian atmosphere, Rose Avenue embodies the creative spirit of Venice.

Remember to start your day early as there is so much to see! The best time of day to begin your journey is around 9am after a relaxing breakfast at Coast Beach Café and Bar or Terrazza where you can power up until lunch!
