Holiday Candied Spiced Nuts
Ingredients:
1 lb Mixed Nuts
1 lb Sugar
1 lb Water
½ tsp Cayenne Pepper
½ tsp Cinnamon
½ tsp Ground Chili Pepper
½ tsp Ground Cumin
Pinch of Ground Nutmeg
1 tsp Sea Salt
Method:
1. Place a small fryer at 300 degrees
2. Boil the sugar, water, and mixed nuts until reduced by half
3. Strain
4. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
5. Fry till golden brown
6. While still warm, toss with all the spices and cool to room temperature
