Easy Holiday Recipe: Holiday Candied Spiced Nuts

Easy Holiday Recipe: Caramel Corn

Hote & Spicy Chocolate Eggnog

Ingredients:

1 gallon of Whole Milk
1 quart of Heavy Cream
3 cups Sugar
1 teaspoon of Salt
1 Vanilla Bean, seeds scraped and pod reserved
4 tbls of Ground Cinnamon
1 Tblsp of Ground Nutmeg
½ Tblsp of Cayenne Pepper
20 Egg Yolks
10 ounces Melted Chocolate
1 ounce of Cocoa Powder
2 cups Cognac

 

Method:
1. Place the milk, cream, sugar, salt, spices, and vanilla in a pot and bring to a simmer
2. Turn the heat off and add cocoa powder & chocolate
3. Let sit for 3 minutes, then stir to emulsify the chocolate
4. Whisk the egg yolks till pale
5. Temper in the yolks to the hot milk
6. Turn the heat on to medium low and whisk till slightly thickened (do not boil)
7. Add the Cognac
8. Serve warm (you can also chill and serve cold)
