Open up a travel magazine in the next few months and chances are you’ll recognize the content: a beautiful hideaway above Santa Monica Beach, a lavish interior with ocean-blue textiles, and a stunning view over the Pacific.
Yep, that’s Hotel Casa del Mar and our freshly re-designed penthouses.
Months after opening as Santa Monica’s premier accommodations, we are proud to say the cream of the crop at Casa del Mar is still making quite the splash. So much so that earlier this month, we hosted a media event specifically for writers and editors interested in seeing the penthouses for themselves.
The event took place on December 10th and was a tremendous success. Touring our exclusive top floor was a wide collection of travel writers, including Departures contributing editor Krista Simmons, Destinations Weddings & Honeymoons contributing writer Carrie Bell, Examiner LA travel writer Ruksana Hussain, Forbes contributing writer Andy Bender, JustLuxe contributing writer Vicki Arkoff, Robb Report editorial assistant Kelsey Robertson, Sunset contributing writer Jessica Ritz, and Westways contributing writer Nick Rufca. Everyone received a full walk-through of the penthouses—which can be combined into one—finished off with a complimentary spa treatment at Sea Wellness Spa.
As anyone who has visited our penthouses might have guessed, the general response was one of utmost enthusiasm. We have no way of predicting what the writers will publish, but we imagine it might look something like this:
